Clinical Pharmacy Specialist I (Oncology)Baptist Health South Florida📍 Boca Raton | Full-Time Help Shape the Future of Clinical Pharmacy Baptist Health South Florida is seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacy Specialist to join one of the region's premier healthcare systems. This is an opportunity to practice at the top of your license while collaborating with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary care teams to improve patient outcomes. We're looking for a clinical leader who is passionate about evidence-based medicine, medication safety, quality improvement, and mentoring the next generation of pharmacists.
What You'll Do: Serve as the clinical pharmacy expert within your specialty area. Optimize medication therapy through clinical review, intervention, and evidence-based recommendations. Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and collaborate directly with physicians and healthcare providers. Develop clinical protocols, order sets, medication guidelines, and formulary initiatives. Lead medication utilization evaluations and quality improvement projects. Provide pharmacokinetic dosing, therapeutic drug monitoring, and medication safety oversight. Educate patients during transitions of care and support medication reconciliation. Mentor pharmacists, pharmacy residents, and pharmacy students. Participate in clinical research, committee work, and professional presentations. Help drive innovative pharmacy services that improve quality, safety, and patient outcomes.
Qualifications: Required Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)Active Registered Pharmacist license Residency and/or specialty experience meeting one of the following: PGY2 Residency (Board Certification required within one year of hire)PGY1 Residency plus two years of specialty practice experience and Board Certification Five years of specialty practice experience with Board Certification if no residency Strong clinical decision-making and interdisciplinary collaboration skills Why Baptist Health South Florida?
