Job Description: Quality Inspector | Aerospace Manufacturing
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PMAbout the Role Are you a precision-driven Quality Inspector with deep expertise in aerospace manufacturing? We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join our team. In this role, you will perform critical quality control and inspection functions—ranging from receiving inspection to AS9102 First Article Inspections (FAIs)—ensuring precision components meet strict aviation, FAA, and AS9100 standards.
Key Responsibilities: Inbound & Receiving Inspection: Conduct visual, dimensional, and material test inspections on incoming products and raw materials using established sampling plans and dock-to-stock procedures. First Article Inspection: Perform AS9102 First Article Inspections (FAIs) on new hardware. Inspection Planning & Compliance: Develop and maintain Detailed Inspection Plans (DIPs) while maintaining accurate quality records in accordance with FAA and AS9100 requirements. Equipment & Measurement Systems: Program and operate Micro-Vu visual measurement systems; evaluate and verify Keyence data using manual measurement techniques. Non-Conformance & Material Review: Interface with procurement and engineering to resolve quality non-conformances promptly and assist with Material Review Board (MRB) activities. Documentation: Review and prepare Certificates of Conformance (CoC) and conduct product testing as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: 3 to 5+ years of quality inspection experience in an aerospace or high-precision manufacturing environment.
Technical Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and MIL-STD specifications. Strong working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Hands-on proficiency with standard measurement tools, precision instruments, and gauges. Software: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
Preferred Qualifications: Experience programming or operating CMM / Micro-Vu vision systems. Active or prior J-STD certification. Experience with supplier development and surveillance.
Physical Demands: Ability to safely lift and move work materials up to 40 lbs. Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate across multi-disciplinary engineering, quality, and production teams. \nCompany
