Established in 1987 and located in Virginia Beach, Sugar Plum Bakery provides scrumptious bakery products and signature coffee drinks to our loyal customers. Sugar Plum Bakery is currently looking for a retail associate to help assist our loyal customers in selecting various cakes, pastries, donuts and cookies from our pastry cases. Candidates will be responsible for taking customer orders in person and over the phone. Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Candidate must be able to work independently and follow directions. Candidate will deliver products and cakes as needed using Sugar Plum Delivery Van. Candidate must be available to work on Saturdays. NO SUNDAYS REQUIRED.Ideal Skills: Outstanding oral and written communication and customer service practices Excellent phone skills Ability to assist customers in choosing high quality cakes, pastries, pies, donuts, cookies, cupcakes, breakfast items and specialty desserts Ability to make specialty coffees using cappuccino machine Ability to work in fast paced environment Ability to multi task Strong sense of team work Ability to take initiative Strong organizational skills Strong time management skills Ability to prioritize Detail oriented Cash handling skills Ability to deliver products in a timely manner Ideal Experience: Food Service/baking/coffee bar Valid Driver's License and clean record To learn more about Sugar Plum Bakery, visit our website at sugarplumbakery.org
