Job Description
Position Overview: The Undergraduate Health Policy Fellow will support health policy research, communications, and program activities throughout the semester. Working closely with senior staff, the Fellow will gain practical experience in health policy while contributing to ongoing organizational projects and initiatives. Key Responsibilities●Assist with health policy research, including gathering information, reviewing relevant literature, and summarizing findings.●Support the preparation of policy briefs, reports, presentations, and other written materials.●Assist with tracking and organizing health policy developments, legislation, and related issues.●Work with senior staff to support meetings, events, webinars, and other policy-related activities.●Assist with communications and outreach efforts related to health policy initiatives.●Help maintain research materials, databases, and organizational resources.●Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions and assigned projects.●Complete other related tasks and projects as assigned.
Qualifications: Minimum Education/Experience●Current undergraduate student or recent graduate with an interest in health policy, public health, healthcare, government, political science, or a related field.●Strong interest in health policy and related public policy issues.●Strong written and verbal communication skills.●Ability to conduct basic research, organize information, and meet deadlines.●Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating effectively with a team.●Proficiency with common virtual communication and productivity tools. Preferred Qualifications●Coursework or experience related to health policy, public health, healthcare, or government.●Experience with policy research, writing, communications, or community engagement.●Familiarity with current health policy issues and the U.S. healthcare system.●Interest in pursuing graduate education or a career in health policy, public health, healthcare, law, government, or a related field.
Working Conditions
Work Arrangement: Remote/hybrid Term: Semester-based with opportunity for part-time. Schedule/Start Date: To be determined by mutual agreement Compensation The Undergraduate Health Policy Fellow will receive a $1,500 - $2,500 stipend, distributed in two payments throughout the semester. The exact stipend amount will depend on experience. The Fellow position may be renewable upon conclusion of the fall semester, with potential for continuation into the spring semester. This is contingent upon performance and availability of funds.
