About the role
Postdoctoral Fellow in Chemistry - Reiter Lab This project-focused appointment in biochemistry/molecular biophysics will support the research program of PI: Dr. Nicholas Reiter. The project will focus on methods associated with protein and nucleic acid purification and characterization, and on implementing analytical methods to quantitate oncoprotein-nucleic acid interactions in solution. Relevant publications from the lab related to this topic include: RNA. 22(8) 1250 (2016), Biochemistry 63 (11):1369-1375 (2024), J. Biological Chemistry 300(9): 107607 (2024).Carry out research in Analytical Biochemistry, the improvement and optimization of protocols. Design and perform analytical experiments that examine protein-nucleic acid interactions. Conduct research at the bench with independence and with senior graduate students, work well with others, and assist undergraduate/graduate students as an active member of the lab. Provide research summaries and reports monthly, help to write manuscripts, and meet regularly with PI to complete lab project goals. Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
