About the role

About The Role: This role supports the production and finishing of printed materials while helping ensure quality, efficiency, and timely delivery to clients. This hands-on role combines equipment operation, troubleshooting, production planning, and collaboration within a team-oriented environment. You will play an important role in maintaining operational excellence, workplace safety, and customer high-speed finishing equipment, including setup, production, finishing, reconciliation, and basic maintenance. Working with stitcher/bindery machines, printers, folders, and related production equipment. Troubleshooting equipment issues and collaborating with technicians to help maximize uptime. Executing job setup and production planning to meet customer delivery requirements. Identifying, communicating, and helping resolve production risks and operational challenges. Reviewing work for accuracy and addressing discrepancies through problem-solving or escalation as accurate production, equipment, and service records. Following written and verbal instructions, including work orders, process documentation, and safety procedures. Communicating effectively with team members and contributing to a professional, respectful workplace. Supporting a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Adhering to attendance and scheduling expectations while managing time effectively to meet production goals.
Requirements: Demonstrate transferable production, manufacturing, or equipment operation experience. Utilize basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and production systems. Ability to work 2nd shift (12pm to 8:30pm CT).Perform operator-level troubleshooting and repairs on mechanical systems. Learn new equipment, technologies, and processes quickly and effectively. Prioritize work, adapt to changing business needs, and meet deadlines. Demonstrate accountability, integrity, and professionalism. Adapt to varying production assignments and operational requirements. Stand and move throughout most of the shift and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds, with or without reasonable overtime needs during peak production periods (April and October through December) as business demands require.
