Rochester, NYHelp engineer the next generation of lightweight solar technology. My client is seeking a hands-on mechanical design engineer to solve challenging structural problems and help turn an innovative, frameless solar module into a robust, scalable commercial product. What You’ll Be Doing:
Own mechanical design of advanced solar modules and assemblies Develop concepts and detailed designs using Solid Works Perform structural/FEA modeling for stress, loading, deflection and durability Solve design challenges involving lightweight structures and wind loading Drive designs through prototype, testing, validation and manufacturing Design occasional fixtures/tooling supporting pilot production
About You:
Strong Solid Works product-design background Structural analysis, FEA and mechanical modeling expertise Experience designing complex, real-world products/componentsCFD, composites, polymers/seals or wind modeling is a plus Solar experience is welcomed but not required
