About the role
Network Operations TechnicianNex-Tech is seeking a Network Operations Technician to monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot network systems supporting internet, voice, and data services. This role plays a critical part in ensuring network reliability and service quality. This position is ideal for someone with technical aptitude who enjoys hands-on troubleshooting and working in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do:
Monitor network systems to ensure stability and performanceTroubleshoot network issues and outages across multiple systemsMaintain routers, switches, and network management systemsAssist with network security and firewall supportSupport enterprise customer network environmentsManage and document IP addressing and network configurationsCollaborate with internal teams to resolve network issuesAssist with infrastructure maintenance and improvementsWhat You Bring: Knowledge of networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP) Familiarity with routers, switches, and network systemsBasic understanding of network security conceptsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong communication and organizational skillsEducation & Experience: Associate degree in communications technology, computer systems, or related field (or equivalent experience) plus relevant networking experience.
