About the Role: MORTCAPITAL LLC is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Loan Processor & Operations Associate to join our growing team in Brooklyn, NY, and Queens, NY. Responsibilities:
  • Review and process residential mortgage loan applications from submission to closing
  • Collect, verify, and organize borrower documentation including income, assets, and credit reports
  • Communicate with loan officers, underwriters, and borrowers to ensure timely loan progression
  • Maintain accurate loan files and update pipeline management systems
  • Order and track third-party services such as appraisals, title reports, and flood certifications
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state lending regulations including RESPA and TRID guidelines
  • Support daily office operations and assist senior staff with administrative tasks
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in mortgage processing, banking, or financial services preferred but not required
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple files simultaneously
  • Familiarity with loan origination software (e.g., Encompass, Calyx) is a plus
  • Solid understanding of or willingness to learn mortgage guidelines and compliance requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Self-starter with a team-oriented mindset and strong organizational skills
