Salary Range: $18.00 To $22.00 Hourly Trans-Phos is a family-owned bulk transportationbusiness upheld by the pillars of safety, efficiency, and reliability. Its fleet of trucks provides hauling services to the construction and phosphate industries. Trans-Phos, Inc., is looking for a skilled General Repair Mechanicto support ourWEEKENDoperations. This role involves maintaining and repairing heavy trucks and trailers at our terminal. Location: Central Florida
Shift: Day
Schedule: 4 10-hour shifts | Weekends Required. Overtime, as needed
Key Responsibilities: Perform scheduled maintenance and general repairs, includingtire changes, brake system repairs, steering and suspension work, and diesel engine servicing. Diagnose and address minor mechanical issues, replacing parts such aslights, mud flaps, belts, hoses, and filtersunder the direction of the Fleet Manager. Maintain terminal grounds, ensuring aclean, safe, and organizedwork environment. Assist inroadside cleanup effortsand other maintenance tasks as needed. Conductroutine oil changes, lubrication, and inspectionsto ensure fleet reliability. Report potential mechanical failures or safety concerns to management promptly. Supportspecial projectsand additional tasks assigned by the Fleet Manager or Operations Team. What You Need to Succeed: Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to visually diagnose mechanical issues Experience reading service manuals & work orders Efficient repair skills to minimize downtime
