Location: San Fernando Valley
Pay: $22.00 per hour
Full time, Monday thru Friday
Position Summary: We are seeking a Mechanical/Electrical Assembler to assist with the fabrication and assembly of aerospace sheet metal components and subassemblies. The ideal candidate has manufacturing or aerospace assembly experience and is comfortable using hand tools, drills, fasteners, rivets, and basic assembly equipment.
Responsibilities: Assemble sheet metal parts and mechanical subassemblies according to work orders and engineering drawings. Install screws, nuts, bolts, rivets, nutplates, and other aerospace fasteners. Work with aluminum, steel, plastics, and other materials. Use drills, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and other hand tools safely. Follow written and verbal work instructions. Inspect completed work and report any quality or production concerns. Follow all safety and quality procedures. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Perform additional assembly duties as assigned.
Qualifications: At least two years of aerospace, manufacturing, sheet metal, or mechanical assembly experience preferred. High school diploma or GED required. Experience using hand and power tools. Ability to read and follow basic engineering drawings and work instructions. Familiarity with rivets and aerospace fasteners is preferred. Strong attention to detail and good mechanical ability. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Must be able to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods. xaygatp Availability to work overtime when needed.
