About the role

Job Description: The Sandblaster operates abrasive blasting equipment to remove dirt, grease, rust, and old paint from industrial equipment and surfaces. This role prepares surfaces for new coatings, maintains blasting and painting equipment, follows rigorous safety procedures, and works effectively in varied environments, including confined spaces, elevated areas, and changing weather conditions.
Responsibilities: Operate sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare industrial equipment and surfaces. Monitor and adjust abrasive pressure and flow for effective surface blasting. Ensure surfaces are properly prepared before applying new coatings or paint. Mix and prepare paint according to painter directions. Inspect, clean, and maintain paint, blasting, and related equipment. Follow safety procedures and regulations, including requirements for working at heights. Coordinate sandblasting assignments and schedules with supervisors and team members. Document and report operational issues or incidents and perform other tasks assigned by management.
Required Qualifications: High level of safety awareness and knowledge of sandblasting safety procedures and regulations. Ability to operate a forklift and man lift. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Ability to work in all weather conditions and in varied environments, including confined spaces and heights. Physical endurance and strength to handle sandblasting equipment and materials for extended periods. Ability to carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to bend, stoop, stand for long periods, and climb.
Preferred Qualifications: Two or more years of experience with painting and sandblasting equipment.\nCompany
