About the role

A financial services organization is seeking a Financial Intelligence Analyst to support KYC, AML, customer due diligence, and financial crime compliance activities in a remote setting. This role will conduct risk-based reviews of consumer and business relationships, analyze customer and ownership information, and support investigative and regulatory compliance work.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform customer due diligence and business onboarding reviews in accordance with established policies and regulatory requirements
  • Analyze customer and business information to assess risk and support onboarding and account maintenance decisions
  • Review organizational structures, beneficial ownership information, business activities, and supporting documentation for completeness and compliance
  • Prepare and manage requests for information to obtain additional documentation or clarification needed to complete reviews
  • Document findings, risk assessments, investigative conclusions, and recommendations in a clear and audit-defensible manner
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of Experience in KYC, AML, compliance, financial crimes, fraud operations, risk management, banking operations, or a related operational function
  • Experience reviewing and interpreting complex customer documentation, business structures, ownership information, and account activity
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and apply risk-based decision-making principles
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and TeamsStrong analytical, investigative, and critical-thinking skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desired Skills:
  • Relevant certifications such as CAMS, CAFP, CRCM, or ACAMS.Experience with KYC, CDD, SDD, EDD, CIP, and beneficial ownership requirements
  • Knowledge of BSA/AML regulations, OFAC sanctions requirements, and financial crime risk management practices
  • Experience conducting customer onboarding reviews, risk assessments, periodic reviews, or ongoing due diligence
  • Experience analyzing personal and business account documentation, legal entity structures, and ownership hierarchies
  • Experience preparing requests for information and resolving documentation deficiencies
  • Experience with case management, onboarding, compliance, transaction monitoring, or financial crimes systems
  • Familiarity with adverse media research, sanctions screening, and risk-based review methodologies
  • Ability to identify trends, recommend process improvements, and support operational efficiency initiatives
