The company offers opportunities to develop arborist expertise and sales skills while working in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
Role Description:
This is a full-time, on-site Arborist Sales role based in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The Arborist Sales professional will meet with property owners and managers to assess tree health and safety, perform site visits, and prepare detailed estimates and proposals for recommended services. Day-to-day tasks include conducting arborist consultations, explaining service options, following up on leads, and closing sales while ensuring that customer needs are clearly understood and met. The role involves collaborating with field crews to schedule work, review job specifications, and confirm that services are completed as proposed. This position also requires maintaining accurate records in the company’s CRM, building repeat business through ongoing customer communication, and representing Tree Jaws at local events or industry gatherings when needed.
Qualifications:
Strong arboriculture knowledge, including tree identification, basic tree health assessment, and understanding of pruning, removal, and safety practices. Sales and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly, build trust, and close deals in a consultative manner. Ability to conduct on-site evaluations, take accurate measurements, and prepare clear, detailed proposals and estimates. Proficiency with basic computer tools and CRM or sales software to track leads, opportunities, and customer communication. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including active listening and professional presentation abilities. Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions and walking uneven terrain to inspect trees and job sites. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple appointments and follow-ups. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to customer locations in the Fort Lauderdale, FL area. Previous experience in tree care, landscaping, or related industries is preferred; ISA certification or willingness to pursue certification is an advantage. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in arboriculture, horticulture, or sales is beneficial.
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
