CMM Programmer/Quality Inspector Louisville, Kentucky Allegiance Staffing is currently recruiting for an experienced CMM Programmer / Quality Inspector to join a well-established metal stamping facility. This company operates an onsite tool and die shop to support equipment repairs, maintenance, and production needs. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional with CMM programming experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in accuracy and attention to detail. Pay $25.00 to $28.00 per hour, based on experience.
Position Overview:
The CMM Programmer / Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring manufactured products meet established quality standards through inspection, measurement, testing, and documentation. This position will play an important role in identifying and resolving quality issues, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring employees follow established quality and production procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Program and operate CMM equipment using Open DMISCreate, edit, and validate CMM programs Perform dimensional inspections using CMM equipment, calipers, micrometers, gauges, rulers, and other measuring tools Read and interpret engineering blueprints, specifications, and quality requirements Support PPAP activities Prepare rejection notices and verify defects on returned materials Record and report inspection and test results Monitor work center employees to ensure press operator procedures, setup sheets, route sheets, special inspection instructions, and other work instructions are followed correctly Coach employees and take corrective action when necessary Identify quality issues and assist with problem solving and corrective actions Complete special assignments and projects related to continuous quality improvement Support quality procedures including CMM inspection, ISO requirements, and dimensional checks Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of CMM programming experience Experience programming CMMs using Open DMISAbility to read and understand engineering blueprints and specifications Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for identifying defects Strong problem solving and analytical skills Good verbal and written communication skills Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point Excellent attendance and reliability Willingness to learn and perform various quality functions and procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
Working knowledge of ISO / IATF / AIAG standards Understanding of MSA (Measurement Systems Analysis)Experience with tool calibration Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles Experience creating, editing, and validating CMM programs
