Job Description Job Responsibilities Inspects and repairs vehicles with diesel engines, heavy equipment engines and standard engines Handles routine repairs and maintenance, including oil and tire rotations/changes, transmission flushes, air condition re-charges, front-end alignment, battery installations and headlight/taillight repair, etc. on all typesPerforms and identifies conditions by routine inspections and diagnostic test Advises management on repair options and costs through detailed inspection reports and repair plans Corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systemsCompletes test drives to make sure the vehicles and equipment runs efficiently and safely before employee use Knowledge of power, machine, and hand tools with the ability to use accurately Follows all motor/equipment vehicle repair regulations and standardsMaintain service records, repair logs and receipts of all jobs performed to assure accurate vehicle records and job costing Operates al types of equipment within the yard where task requires Will perform winter snow removal of premises and its surroundings with company equipment
