For the specific location visit: www.klaschoolshuntsville.com Role Description The Preschool Director is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Huntsville, Alabama. This role oversees daily school operations, including staffing, classroom supervision, family communication, admissions/enrollment and adherence to licensing and safety regulations. The Director collaborates with educators to design and implement developmentally appropriate, Reggio-inspired curricula and learning experiences. Responsibilities include managing enrollment, maintaining positive relationships with families, supporting professional development for teaching staff, and monitoring educational quality and outcomes. The Director also manages budgets and resources, ensures compliance with organizational policies, and fosters a nurturing, inclusive school culture.
Qualifications:
Background in Education and Early Childhood Education, with knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices for young learners. Experience in Curriculum Development, particularly in preschool or Kindergarten settings and inquiry-based learning approaches. Ability to manage Budgeting and resource allocation to support school operations and program quality. Strong leadership, team management, and staff coaching skills, with the ability to build a collaborative school culture. Excellent communication and family engagement skills, including the ability to partner effectively with diverse families and communities. Experience with admissions and sales. Understanding of licensing requirements, health and safety standards, and regulatory compliance for early childhood programs. Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or a related field; advanced degree or Director-level certification is a plus. Prior experience in preschool administration or school leadership is strongly preferred.
