About the role
Overview
As Sr. Director of Business Operations, you partner with the CSO, CEO and COO to run the strategic operating rhythm and tackle cross-functional issues. You own the OKR and QBR processes, align GTM with Product, and lead analytics for market entry and expansion. You translate strategy into funded plans, build decision frameworks, and drive high-impact, cross-functional initiatives. This role blends consulting rigor with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

Responsibilities Own the company's strategic operating rhythm Partner with Finance to run the annual operating plan (AOP) process to translate priorities into funded plans Own end-to-end OKR process as the single source of truth Lead quarterly business reviews (QBRs) across Product, GTM and Ops with clear owners and decisions Identify drift between priorities and reality and escalate as needed to CSO/COODrive alignment between Product and GTM to ensure correct products reach markets with the right GTM motion Lead root-cause analysis when interlock breaks down (product gaps, pipeline stalls, misaligned GTM)Build forums, frameworks, and accountabilities to sustain Product-Sales alignment Lead or co-lead market entry efforts (market sizing, business case, GTM design, readiness)Design commercial/operating model for new markets (pricing, CS motion, channel, service delivery)Translate market entry decisions into funded operating plans with milestones Serve as analytical partner to CSO/CEO/COO on strategic questions Lead cross-functional, high-impact projects with Board/Executive sponsorship Develop business cases and decision frameworks for capital allocation and portfolio decisions Present strategic conclusions to CEO/Board clearly and decisively Travel up to 20%Support the organization in a complex, matrixed environment
Key requirements>10 years in strategy, operations, and cross-functional leadership Top-tier consulting background preferred (McKinsey, Bain, BCG) with in-house tech/industrial/infrastructure experience Direct experience owning or redesigning QBR and OKR processes in large companies Proven track record improving GTM–Product alignment Experience leading market entry initiatives from sizing to GTM design Ability to influence without direct authority in a matrixed org Experience with utility technology, smart infrastructure, or industrial tech preferred Excellent written and verbal communication, able to present to CEO/BoardMBA preferred Ability to travel up to 20%strong communication skillscross-functional leadershipproblem solvingQBR and OKR governancemarket sizing and business case developmentGTM and product interlock
