Position Summary: Lead the Airlay, Autosock and Autofolder asset team to perform at a very high level in a peer-to-peer safety culture. Responsibilities include staffing and scheduling personnel, ensuring a safe work environment, and meeting production requirements while minimizing costs, coaching personnel, and monitoring quality.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Enforce company policies, procedures, safety practices, and quality standards. Supervise approximately 20 hourly employees, including interviews, performance reviews, development, and advancement discussions. Train and direct personnel on equipment, control points, processes, and resources. Understand production processes and troubleshoot machinery and operational issues as needed. Manage Net Suite transactions, production metrics, raw materials, and machine consumables. Maintain workflow by monitoring production, improving efficiency, reducing costs, identifying trends, and implementing corrective actions. Execute production plans by scheduling personnel, setting priorities, monitoring progress, and resolving issues. Maintain accurate production records, reports, and performance data. Develop and improve systems, procedures, and processes to support operational efficiency. Address personnel issues in partnership with Human Resources. Manage emergency situations, including severe weather, fire, evacuations, and industrial accidents. Support the Bond location and assist with production troubleshooting and problem-solving. Manage projects from start to finish and participate in required training and development. Use Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point, and Share Point effectively. Maintain an organized, analytical, creative, adaptable, and positive approach when working with employees, customers, and visitors. Perform other duties as assigned to fulfill position responsibilities. Ability to meet physical requirements, including walking, climbing, light lifting, sitting, and standing for extended periods. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Required: Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree or relevant certifications preferred.3–5 years of production supervision or related experience, preferably in manufacturing. Strong independent decision-making, communication, organizational, and time-management skills. Proficient in reading and writing English and Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook. Able to lead small groups, hold employees accountable, and provide constructive feedback. Customer-focused with a sense of urgency and commitment to continuous improvement. Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with a professional, positive attitude. Highly accurate and able to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities. Work Relationship and Scope: Reports to the Plant Manager. Works closely with all other team members, managers, and supervisors at Fyter Tech to accomplish established goals. Due to nature of the position, will work with all employees at Fyter Tech on a regular basis. Works daily with highly confidential business and employee information. Measures of Performance: Safety, quality, accuracy, reliability, friendliness, thoroughness and timeliness of services provided to internal and external customers; adherence to Fyter Tech's policies and procedures; ability to earn the trust and respect of employees and co-workers; effectively communicates and develops good working relationships with co-workers; professional workplace appearance and conduct; keeps Fyter Tech, customer, and employee information confidential; participates in training and appropriate professional development; reliability in reporting to work regularly and on time; understands and adheres to Fyter Tech policies and procedures.
Working Conditions: Work is performed within the normal Fyter Tech setting. Prolonged and frequent mental and visual concentration required. Periodic stressful situations in response to multiple priorities within established deadlines. Work hours are generally during normal business hours, as both scheduled and unscheduled work hours may arise. Must be able to bend, twist, turn and lift/move up to fifty pounds. Required travel between offices. Out-of-town/overnight business travel may also be required. Serves as a representative of the organization at appropriate functions.
