About the role
Defense Sciences, Inc. is seeking a CBRNE Training Specialist to support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) CBRNE Decision Support and Training program. The ideal candidate will have experience with Hazard Prediction and Assessment Capability (HPAC) and preferably be proficient with the software. Experience with JEM, IWMDT-CA, or NATs-CA may also satisfy the software experience requirement. This position provides classroom-based instruction and technical support involving CBRNE modeling, atmospheric transport and dispersion, blast effects, and decision-support software. Domestic and international travel are required.

Responsibilities:
Provide classroom-based instruction on CBRNE decision-support software using established training materials. Support installation, testing, troubleshooting, and operation of CBRNE decision-support software. Support the CBRNE Decision Support and Training program at CONUS and OCONUS locations. Assist lead instructors with developing and updating training materials. Participate in program meetings, workshops, and training activities. Complete a certification process designed to cross-train instructors in multiple aspects of CBRNE analysis and decision support. Work with customers including Combatant Commands, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Joint Staff, Department of Homeland Security, first responders, and local, state, and federal officials.
Required Qualifications:
U.S. citizen. Experience with classroom-based teaching, instruction, or training. Experience with Hazard Prediction and Assessment Capability (HPAC) is strongly preferred, particularly candidates proficient with the software. Experience with one or more of the following may also satisfy the software experience requirement: Joint Effects Module (JEM)Integrated Weapons of Mass Destruction Toolset-Consequence Assessment (IWMDT-CA)NCBRE Assessment Toolset-Consequence Assessment (NATs-CA)Ability to learn and become proficient with additional CBRNE modeling and decision-support applications. Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience supporting Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) missions. Experience with instructional design or development of technical training materials. Experience with additional CBRNE modeling, simulation, GIS, or decision-support tools. Active Department of Defense Secret, Top Secret, or Top Secret/SCI clearance. Security Clearance Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain the security clearance required for the position. Defense Sciences, Inc. can sponsor the appropriate security clearance for a qualified candidate.
