About the role
- Review bid instructions and project plan documents
- Run quantity take-offs for self-performed and subcontracted scopes
- Request subcontractor and material quotes and select vendors
- Build bids in estimating software and review them with operations
- Prepare bid packages: work plans, schedules, pricing sheets and written deliverables
- Manage awarded projects: submittals, RFIs, notices, scheduling and billing
- Own client communication through the life of the job
- What We Are Looking For4-year degree plus 4 years of relevant experience, or 8 years in a comparable role
- Project management experience in pipeline, gas or underground utility construction
- Experience with Southern California public utility clients preferred
- Estimating, scheduling and construction accounting software experience a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication, with real attention to detail
- Degree in business management, project management or construction engineering preferred
