Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Hospice | Night Shift Company: Queen City Hospice Location: Fayetteville, Ohio Employment Type: Full-Time Schedule: 3 x 12-hour night shifts per week, including every other weekend Job Summary Queen City Hospice is seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality hospice care during night shifts. This role is responsible for delivering patient-centered care that promotes comfort, dignity, and quality of life for patients and their families. The ideal candidate is clinically skilled, independent, and passionate about end-of-life care.
Key Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act Implement nursing care based on comprehensive assessments and individualized care plans Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and plan of care Coordinate hospice services with the interdisciplinary care team Communicate patient condition changes and care needs effectively Deliver pain and symptom management interventions Monitor and evaluate patient responses to treatments and medications Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN/LVN) program Active LPN/LVN license in the state of practice Minimum 3 years of nursing experience Current CPR certification Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational and time management abilities Valid driver’s license and reliable, insured transportation Preferred Qualifications Experience in hospice, home health, community health, or medical-surgical nursing Knowledge of hospice philosophy and end-of-life care principles Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Night shift differential pay Medical, dental, and vision insurance (effective first of the month) 401(k) with generous company match Paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays Mileage reimbursement Tuition reimbursement Hospice certification support with salary increase Employee referral program Merit-based pay increases Employee discount programs Work Environment & Culture No on-call requirements Low patient caseloads Supportive, team-focused environment Flexible scheduling with emphasis on work-life balance Mission-driven hospice organization rooted in Ohio communities About Queen City Hospice Queen City Hospice is proudly Ohio-based and committed to providing compassionate, community-centered care throughout Central Ohio.
