About the role
Bus DriverFor the 2026-27 school year, KPS is looking for interested applicants to be bus drivers. KPS covers all costs to become bus driver certified.
Position:
KPSD Bus Driver Days per year: 173 days (173 school days) Paid holidays: 6 paid days during the school year. Rural route pay (as follows): Note - Annual salary range is from $22,400 - $28,200 Base salary Route pay + $0.16/mile 1. 0-49 miles = $60 50-59 miles = $62 60-69 miles = $64 70-79 miles = $66 80 plus miles = $68 Route times Morning: 6:45 AM to 8:15 AM $57 + (50 mile route add: $7) Afternoon: 2:50 PM to 4:45 PM $57 + (50 mile route add: $7) Total pay per day $128 equates to approx. $35/hour If interested in helping only in the morning or afternoon we will work with your schedule.
