Position Summary: A leading residential technology integration firm is seeking a Lighting Technician. This role is responsible for the installation, programming, and maintenance of high-end residential lighting control systems, as well as providing field-level leadership and support across multiple job sites. The ideal candidate will have hands-on technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a professional demeanor for direct client interaction.
Key Responsibilities: Install, program, and commission lighting control systems in luxury residential environments. Program Lutron lighting control systems. Troubleshoot and review system architecture and performance in the field. Work closely with Project Managers and design/build teams to ensure timely, accurate installation and handoff. Communicate effectively with high-profile clients, providing updates and demonstrating professionalism at all times. Perform and direct low-voltage and line-voltage wiring, tagging, and toning as needed. Document work progress and site conditions clearly and accurately. Coordinate with and provide direction to other on-site trades. Support the creation of change orders based on real-time field conditions. Participate in occasional weekend or on-call service hours as required. Travel to job sites within the region as needed.
Qualifications: Proficiency in programming Lutron lighting control (required).Familiarity with Vantage lighting systems (preferred, not required).Understanding of basic electrical theory and system troubleshooting. Experience in low-voltage and line-voltage wiring. Excellent documentation and communication skills. Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and construction plans. Comfortable working in high-end residential settings and maintaining a client-first mindset. OSHA certification preferred. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
Preferred Experience: 3–5 years of lighting control installation and programming. Experience in residential AV, home automation, or systems integration. Ability to manage field teams or function in a lead technician capacity.
