VMware Server Administrator L3

Job Title: VMware Server Administrator L3 Location: San Jose, CA or Wilmington, MA Duration: Fulltime Salary Range: $110,000 to $120,000 per year Job Description: Must Have Technical/Functional Skills o Design, implement, and manage VMware vSphere environments. o Perform advanced troubleshooting and resolve complex VMware issues. o Plan and execute VMware upgrades and migrations. o Reviewing VMWare ESXi server performance o Verifying VMWare ESXi server configuration o Configuring VMWare ESXi for High Availability o System security: Develop policies, procedures, and controls to secure the system o Perform planning activities for the VxRail solution to be implemented and Support of VxRail o System changes: Validate changes on the server, virtualization, and messaging platform by studying plans and requirements o Disaster recovery planning: Work on disaster recovery planning, including handling disaster recovery policies and restoring databases o Installs new applications and helps configure them including web servers, OS, and infrastructure components. o Responsible for trouble-shooting customer VMware ESXi Infrastructure issues o Design and implement tools and solutions for business continuity & disaster management. o Oversee 2nd and 3rd level Infrastructure operations support on a 24x7 basis, with on-call support during off-hours for initial response to disruptions, outages and incidents. o Implement ITSM and ITSM procedures with a focus on Incident Management, RCA/Problem Management, Change Management, Event Management, SLAs, production support, standards, and best practices for the technology organization. o Work with peer Infrastructure and other IT Department Managers to provide input and strategic road map for Data Centre technical platforms.
