About the role
LAO Group is looking for a Senior Accountant for their DTC area services client. The position will be focused in traditional GL functions as well as some corporate accounting responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a public accounting foundation and a CPA or CPA tracking.
Responsibilities:
Analyze, prepare, and record complex journal entries including allocation entries, accruals, prepaid amortizations, payroll, debt, stock compensation and intercompany entries.
Ensure the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close is completed accurately and within the monthly close cycle, including preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations and P&L Statements.
Perform the corporate A/P function ensuring all invoices are processed, approved and paid timely as well as ensuring proper coding of expenses.
Prepare all intercompany journal entries as part of the month end procedures.
Assist with audit requests and the preparation of audit schedules.
Complete ad hoc projects, tasks, and reports when required.
Qualifications:
2+ years' of professional accounting experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or EconomicsCPA strongly preferred
