About the role
The Batch Cycle Manager will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution, monitoring, and optimization of critical enterprise batch processing. This role will lead the design and management of batch cycles, coordinate job and interface dependencies, monitor performance, and provide proactive issue resolution across cross-functional teams. The role is a key contributor to operational readiness, supporting payroll and other critical processing cycles, Go-Live activities, mock cutovers, and Disaster Recovery testing. The ideal candidate brings strong technical and analytical skills, hands-on batch scheduling experience, and the ability to coordinate effectively across technical, functional, interface, and business teams to ensure reliable and timely processing. Key responsibilities may include: Set up and conduct batch cycle calls with Internal, Client (at one point), Interface, and Functional teams and send daily meeting minutes to management Review default batch parameters and perform tuning where required Conduct performance reviews of batch jobs Perform daily batch cycle reviews based on generated reports Execute end-to-end batch cycle reviews Implement batch cycle changes via GCSProvide pre–Go Live DR testing support for batch cycles Assist in preparation and maintenance of the Event Tracker Work with crossfunctional teams to define job status classifications(Green / Orange / Red based on return codes)Design and configure batch cycles: Daily Weekly Weekend Monthly Setup and configuration of interface jobs Coordinate interface dependencies with batch cycles Validate interface execution during critical cycles (payroll, monthend)Integrate batch jobs with report distribution mechanisms for BI and Source reports Configure and maintain report schedulers Provide enhanced scheduling support during payroll cycles and other critical runs Support pre Go Live readiness activities Participate in pre-GO Live DR testing and validation Prepare Mini Batch Cycles for Mock cutovers
