Interim Chief Operating Officer
Location:
United States with International Travel Contract: 6-12 Month ContractSK2109A private equity-backed Contract Development & Manufacturing Organisation (CDMO) is looking to appoint an Interim Chief Operating Officer to lead operations and supply chain across an international manufacturing platform. Reporting to the CEO, the Interim COO will play a critical role in driving operational performance, enhancing planning and execution capabilities, and creating a unified operating model across multiple manufacturing sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead all manufacturing and supply chain activities across the organisation. Improve service, quality, productivity, inventory performance and profitability. Implement a consistent operating model, governance structure and KPI framework. Own integrated planning, capacity management and operational performance reviews. Drive operational excellence and business transformation initiatives. Support acquisition integration and scalability across the manufacturing network. Develop and coach site leadership teams while driving accountability and execution.
Candidate Profile:
Previous COO, VP Operations, SVP Operations or equivalent leadership experience. Strong multi-site manufacturing background. Experience within a CDMO, medical device, life sciences or similarly regulated manufacturing environment. Demonstrated success leading operational turnarounds, transformations and performance improvement programmes. Expertise across manufacturing, supply chain, planning and operational excellence. Strong Lean and continuous improvement credentials. Experience in private equity-backed businesses preferred. Able to operate effectively in a fast-paced, hands-on interim leadership role.
