About the role
Our client, a media technology and entertainment company, is looking to hire a commercially driven sales professional to lead new business development across the US market.
The role will focus on building and growing relationships with brands, advertisers, agencies and strategic partners to drive revenue across advertising sales, brand sponsorships and branded content opportunities.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong network across the US advertising and media ecosystem, experience in hunting and acquiring new accounts, and the ability to develop creative, commercially viable partnerships with brands and agencies.
Key Responsibilities New Business Development: Identify, prospect and acquire new clients across the US market, including brands, advertisers, media agencies and advertising networks.
Ad Sales: Drive advertising revenue through the sale of media inventory, advertising solutions and integrated campaigns across the company's media and content platforms.
Brand Sponsorships: Develop and close brand sponsorship opportunities, working with advertisers to create partnerships aligned with their marketing and audience objectives.
Branded Content & Partnerships: Conceptualise and sell branded content, custom content integrations and creative brand partnerships in collaboration with internal content, production and creative teams.
Account Acquisition: Build a strong pipeline of prospective clients, independently manage the sales cycle from prospecting and pitching through negotiations and closure.
Client & Agency Relationships: Establish and nurture relationships with brand marketing teams, media agencies, advertising decision-makers and senior marketing stakeholders.
Revenue Ownership: Own individual sales targets, revenue generation and new account acquisition, ensuring consistent achievement of commercial objectives.
Market Development: Track advertising market trends, brand marketing priorities and competitive activity to identify new revenue opportunities across the US market.
Candidate Profile:
8–12+ years of experience in advertising sales, media sales, brand partnerships, sponsorship sales or branded content sales.
Experience working with media companies, digital publishers, entertainment platforms, streaming businesses, media networks or advertising-led technology companies.
Demonstrated experience in hunting and acquiring new accounts, with a strong orientation towards revenue generation and business development.
Established relationships with US-based brands, advertisers, media agencies and marketing decision-makers.
Experience selling advertising inventory, sponsorship packages, branded content or integrated media solutions.
Strong understanding of the US advertising and media ecosystem, including brand marketing budgets, agency relationships and digital advertising trends.
Ability to independently manage the entire sales lifecycle, from identifying opportunities and pitching to commercial negotiations and deal closure.
Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
