Job Description: This piece-rate Pallet Builder position offers $17.00-$30.00 per hour based on production. Build wooden pallets from recycled materials, deconstructed pallets, and lumber, and repair damaged pallets so they can be returned to service-ready condition. This role supports 48forty Solutions’ sustainability goals and is based in Eastford, CT, with a Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. first shift.
Responsibilities: Use appropriate tools and methods to repair damaged pallets and return them to service-ready condition. Build the required number of pallets after completing training. Repair the required number of pallets after completing training. Inspect repaired pallets to verify conformance with quality standards. Work safely and independently to meet production quotas in the repair area. Stack pallets and materials correctly according to inventory control instructions. Maintain a clean and safe work environment that meets standards. Communicate effectively with Production Supervisors, the Assistant Plant Manager, and the Plant Manager.
Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED.Ability to regularly lift wooden pallets weighing approximately 50 pounds. Quick hands, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality. Effective communication skills. Ability to work overtime as needed.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in lumber, warehousing, construction, carpentry, landscaping, or roofing.\nCompany
