Data Migration & Technical Business AnalystThe Arizona Department of Revenue is in the process of converting its legacy Oracle based Tax Accounting System (TAS) to a new platform. The new application, STARS, is being developed to meet the changing needs of the department and taxpayers. The Department is seeking additional resources to assist existing staff with the different work streams involved in the conversion of this application. The approach by the vendor and Department will focus on one tax type at a time.Conduct design sessions with business stakeholders and data owners to capture and document requirements related to data migration and system modernization activities.Perform data profiling and anomaly identification to assess legacy TAS data quality and readiness for migration.Define data cleansing rules, transformation logic, and mapping requirements for migrating tax data into the STARS platform.Develop and maintain data conversion mapping documentation and business rule definitions supporting the migration process.Collaborate with development teams to translate business requirements into technical requirements for database scripts, interfaces, and reporting processes.Create validation queries and reconciliation metrics to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity throughout migration and testing phases.Support data extraction and conversion processes by documenting transformation rules and validating migrated data.Maintain requirement traceability and track project tasks and deliverables using Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar project management tools.Assist with milestone documentation, reporting, and acceptance validation activities to ensure deliverables meet project requirements.Support testing cycles by validating migrated data, identifying discrepancies, and assisting with defect analysis and resolution.Participate in release planning and communication activities supporting implementation of tax types into the new STARS system.6+ years Data Analysis and Data Migration SupportAdvanced SQL and Data ProfilingData Cleansing and Transformation LogicData Mapping and Conversion DocumentationData Reconciliation and Validation TechniquesBusiness Requirements Analysis and DocumentationAzure DevOps (ADO) or Similar Requirement Tracking ToolsFinancial or Tax Data Systems Experience (Preferred)
