Speech Pathologist Provides diagnostic, therapeutic and consultative services to patients with communication, cognitive and swallowing disorders. Adheres to state and federal regulatory license, certification and accrediting requirement guidelines. Serves as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team. Education and Work Experience: Master's Degree or foreign equivalent: Required Two years' speech language pathology experience: Preferred
Licenses/Certifications: Speech Pathologist licensure in the state of practice:

  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy:
  • Required
  • American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC):Preferred
Facility Specific License/Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
Essential Functions: Reviews patient information before evaluations and during course of treatment. Conducts and documents comprehensive patient assessments. Assists in data collection of patient outcomes. Instructs and directs support staff, as outlined in national and state Practice Acts. Supervises assistants and support staff. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
