Role Description:
The Professional Land Surveyor is a full-time, on-site role based in Seattle, WA. This role involves planning and performing field surveys, including boundary, topographic, and construction staking surveys, using total stations and other surveying instruments. The Professional Land Surveyor will collect, verify, and record survey data; prepare survey reports, site plans, and maps; and collaborate with engineering and design teams to support project development. Daily responsibilities include interpreting project plans, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards, overseeing field crews when needed, and maintaining accurate documentation of survey activities. The role requires regular on-site field work in varying outdoor conditions and close coordination with project stakeholders to meet schedules and quality expectations.
Qualifications:
Candidates should possess strong skills in Land Surveying and Surveying for boundary, construction, and infrastructure projects. Candidates should possess experience with Topographic Surveys and Building Surveying for design and development purposes. Candidates should possess proficiency in using Total Station and related survey instruments and data collectors. Candidates should possess familiarity with survey software, CAD tools, and digital data management systems. Candidates should possess excellent attention to detail, spatial awareness, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Candidates should possess effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. Professional licensure or eligibility as a Land Surveyor in Washington State is preferred; relevant field experience is highly valued. Ability to work safely in outdoor environments, manage multiple projects, and maintain accurate records is essential.
