About the role
- Own the full sales cycle for cloud professional services engagements (migration, application modernization, DevOps, data, and AI/ML workloads) from prospecting through close
- Build and maintain deep relationships with AWS field sales teams—Account Executives, Solutions Architects, and Partner Development Managers across the Startup, SMB, and Enterprise segments—acting as a trusted co-sell partner
- Drive co-sell motion through ACE, including sourcing and sharing pipeline, and position AWS funding programs (MAP, POC/POA credits, Marketplace private offers) to accelerate deals
- Identify and develop new business opportunities with startup and mid-market clients across cloud migration, modernization, and managed services
- Collaborate with Sela's architects and engineers to scope solutions, develop proposals, and support technical discovery
- Manage and grow a portfolio of existing accounts, identifying expansion opportunities across new service lines
- Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasting in CRM tools
- Represent Sela at AWS and cloud industry events, including AWS Summits and re:
- InventBring market and customer insights back to the team to help shape offerings and go-to-market strategy, particularly around AI and cloud-native workloads
- 5+ years of B2B technology sales experience, with at least 2 years selling cloud professional services or infrastructure solutions
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quota in a consultative, solution-selling environment
- Primary experience and fluency with AWS: you understand the platform, the ecosystem, and how to navigate the partner and field motion
- Strong ability to sell services engagements, not just products: you're comfortable scoping migrations, modernization projects, and technical solutions with customers and architects
- Genuine passion for technology; able to build credibility with vendor field teams, customer technical leaders, and our own engineering team
- Strong executive-level communication and presentation skills
- Based on the East Coast, with availability to travel for customer meetings, AWS office visits, and industry events
- Based in the greater New York City area, or able to work regularly from our NYC office
- Experience selling data, AI/ML, DevOps, or cloud-native modernization projects
- Existing relationships within the AWS field or partner organization on the East Coast
- Familiarity with APN, ACE co-sell, AWS Marketplace, and AWS funding programs
- Exposure to Azure or GCP ecosystems as a secondary platform
- Background in professional services, systems integration, or consulting salesAWS certifications (Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect) or Partner accreditations
- Be part of a technical, high-integrity team working on meaningful cloud and AI projects
- Sell with the backing of a strong engineering team; you'll have real solutions to bring to customers
- Help shape Sela's go-to-market as we grow our AI and cloud practice
- Strong relationships with AWS field teams that create real co-sell momentum, plus a growing delivery practice across migration, app modernization, data modernization, and cloud ops
