Vaco is seeking an experienced Interim Accounting / Accounts Payable Specialist for a client in a fast‑paced, onsite environment. This role primarily focuses on Accounts Payable while contributing across core accounting functions. The schedule for this position is 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM , and the assignment is interim in nature. The ideal candidate brings strong hands‑on accounting experience and is comfortable jumping in quickly to identify, analyze, and correct issues. This role requires someone who can manage multiple priorities, work independently, and thrive in a small, high‑energy team.
Key Responsibilities
Manage full‑cycle Accounts Payable, with exposure to AR, cash, inventory, and financial reporting.
Perform detailed reconciliations and assist with accounting clean‑up, including prior‑year data.
Support audit preparation and documentation requests.
Utilize Excel for data analysis, including pivots and VLOOKUPs.
Work within QuickBooks and assist with an upcoming transition to NetSuite.
Qualifications
Strong hands‑on accounting experience across AP, AR, and reconciliations.
Advanced Excel skills.
Strong attention to detail, positive attitude, and ability to multitask.
Preferred
Retail and/or food & beverage experience.
Accounting degree.
Base pay range
$30.00/hr – $40.00/hr
