New York, NYPosition Overview: EW Howell is seeking a Project Superintendent for a SCA Project to join our team and work out of our NYC office. The project superintendent will be responsible to lead the field operations, delivering projects safely, on schedule and exceeding the client's expectations. The candidate must be a team leader and possess strong communication skills. Considered candidates must have strong technical construction ability and a track record, as lead superintendent, of delivering projects, from interior retail fit out work, to ground up commercial buildings including senior living facilities, core and shell retail, laboratory, and office buildings. Must be able to work in NYC and Westchester as project assignment may require.Responsibilities include:Pre-planning and coordination of all trades on site, including EW Howell labor to maintain project schedule.Lead onsite Howell project team which may include, assistant superintendents, field engineers, safety coordinators, and administrative support.Run and document weekly foreman and subcontractor meetings.Coordinate inspections, and management of permit/project requirements.Generate field RFIs and work proactively to resolve questions in the field.Maintain proactive communication with project team on critical issues including schedule, changes, and job conditions.Maintain and produce site documentation, including daily reports, RFIs, safety documents, quality control reporting, jobsite photos.Oversight and implementation of EW Howell Site Specific Safety Plan.Management of onsite quality assurance in accordance with project and EW Howell QA/QC program.Establish and coordinate site logistics to meet project requirements and maximize safety and efficiency.Produce 3-week look-ahead schedules in accordance with the overall project schedule.Assist project manager in producing schedule updates.Management of field change order/ T & M work and associated monitoring and documentation.Maintain open and timely dialogue with all project team members regarding change orders, schedule impacts, project conditions, and any impacts that effect project performance. Monitor production and manpower at the site to ensure progress and resources to meet schedule milestones. Follow up with trades accordingly.Qualification Requirements: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience. BS/BA in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or commensurate experience preferred.
