About the role
- Support a team of Medical Oncologists and work with PA/NP colleagues in outpatient and inpatient settings
- Responsible for follow-ups for patients undergoing active therapy, on active surveillance, or hematology
- Supervise the infusion room and collaborate with RNs to manage side effects of treatments administered
- Perform cancer therapy education visits with the patient and family
- Order and interpret lab and radiology studies as medically necessary and assist with triage of urgent patient needs
- Primarily clinic-based: Patient care, infusion center supervision, care coordination, and inbox management
- Opportunities for development beyond routine clinical care include collaboration with Stanford University School of Medicine Faculty
- Participation in clinical trials, Integrative oncology, Survivorship, and Cancer prevention
- Work in a collaborative and supportive environment with an opportunity for mentorship
- Active California NP or PA License
- Board Certified
- Minimum two (2) years of PA or NP experience preferred
- Oncology experience preferred but not required
- Outstanding clinical and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Additional preferences:
- Familiarity working with Epic EMRExperience working in a multi-specialty group and/or integrated healthcare system
