About the role
Role Summary:
MWW On Demand is seeking a hands-on Technical Designer / Product Engineer to convert customer and product requirements into complete, manufacturing-ready technical packages. This person will own patterns, measurements, grading, construction specifications, BOMs, tech packs, fit and product-level quality requirements, while partnering closely with Manufacturing Engineering on how the product is produced.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain patterns, blocks, grading rules, measurements and tolerances for applicable sewn/textile products.
- Create clear technical drawings, construction specifications, tech packs and BOMs.
- Translate customer concepts, samples and artwork into controlled manufacturing specifications.
- Evaluate samples for fit, dimensions, construction and manufacturability; issue corrective actions and approve product-definition changes.
- Maintain reusable product standards, blocks, components and revision-controlled technical records.
- Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Sourcing and Production during product launch and troubleshooting.
- Use modern digital product-development and AI-assisted tools to reduce repetitive documentation and improve reuse of existing product knowledge.
Ideal Candidate:
- Practical technical-design or product-engineering experience in apparel, sewn products, home textiles or a comparable manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of pattern development, grading, garment/product construction, fit, seams and measurement control.
- Experience building production-ready tech packs and BOMs.
- Comfort working directly with a factory rather than operating only as a design-office role.
- Able to communicate product requirements clearly to Production and Manufacturing teams.
- Organized, detail-focused and comfortable managing revisions and multiple product families. Preferred Digital Skills
- CLO 3D, Browzwear, Gerber, Lectra or similar pattern/3D development systems.
- Excel and structured product data/documentation systems.
- Knowledge-search or digital product-development tools; willingness to learn is more important than prior expertise. Candidate Backgrounds to Target

- Pattern Engineer / Pattern Technologist
- Apparel Product Development Engineer
- Technical Development Specialist with strong factory exposure
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
