About the role
One of our clients is looking for an experienced Tooling Engineer to support the sourcing, design, construction, PPAP, and launch of new tooling, fixtures, and equipment. This role will work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Program Management, Finance, suppliers, and production teams to ensure tooling meets customer requirements, production schedules, quality standards, and cost objectives.
Requirements:
5+ years of previous experience as a Tooling Engineer, with tool & die maker/apprenticeship experience or 2+ years as a Tool Room Supervisor preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience. Strong knowledge of tooling, assembly and press equipment, CAD, CMM, databases, spreadsheets, and manufacturing processes. Excellent communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with customers, suppliers, engineers, and cross-functional teams. Travel may be required.
