About the role
About The Company:
General Intuition is the frontier lab for acting in space and time. We build large action models and world models that can perceive, predict, and act across virtual and physical environments. General Intuition builds on the strength of Medal, the world's largest and fastest-growing platform for gaming clips, where millions of gamers capture, share, and discover new games every year. We've raised over $650M from Khosla, GC, Valor, and Point72 since October 2025, and recently closed our latest round at a $6.2B valuation.
The Role:
You'll join a small, talented product team designing consumer-facing experiences built around gaming culture and creator-driven communities. You'll own meaningful parts of the product end to end, from the core flows players use every day to the design system that keeps the team moving fast, shipping and iterating closely with engineers. Designing across both desktop and mobile, you'll shape polished, accessible experiences seen by millions of gamers.
What We're Looking For:
4+ years designing consumer-facing digital products, ideally for social or creator-driven platformsProduct judgment: You start from the user problem and the outcome you're after, prioritize hard, and can say no to good ideas that don't move what mattersHolistic product sense: You have an eye for how the whole product fits together, from the core loops to the moments that hook a new user and keep them coming backIteration over big launches: You'd rather ship small and improve over many rounds than disappear into one giant feature. You follow up after launch rather than hand off and walk awayDesign systems expertise: hands-on experience building, scaling, and maintaining systems from the ground up, with a strong grasp of tokens, components, documentation, and deep Figma skills (component architecture, variables, auto layout) for keeping living libraries in sync with productionCross-functional collaboration: You work closely with engineers to ensure design system components translate accurately into codeCross-platform design: Experience designing for both desktop and mobile, with an understanding of platform-specific UX patterns and accessibility best practicesIn-person: Looking to hire in NYC to work alongside the product team. 5 days in the officeGaming: A passion for games and gaming communities. You understand what makes them unique, from the language players use to the social dynamics around playBonus: Experience designing for communities, content creation, or real-time interaction products (Discord, Twitch, TikTok, etc.)
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
