About the role

We are looking for a Web Developer to take ownership of our Shopify environment and help deliver a dependable, high-performing online shopping experience in Jacksonville, Florida. This position centers on backend-focused Shopify development, platform connectivity, and scalable feature delivery while also supporting updates within established design standards. You will collaborate closely with marketing and IT teams to strengthen site functionality, improve performance, and serve as the go-to internal resource for the eCommerce platform.
Responsibilities: Lead day-to-day development and support for the Shopify storefront, ensuring stable functionality, strong performance, and a smooth customer journey. Enhance and maintain custom applications and existing code to support business needs and long-term platform scalability. Manage and refine the connection between Shopify and Net Suite through Celigo, addressing reliability and data accuracy across systems. Investigate and resolve technical issues affecting orders, inventory synchronization, customer records, and other integrated processes. Design and implement new site capabilities, backend logic, and functional improvements based on operational and customer experience goals. Partner with marketing stakeholders to launch campaign pages, promotional updates, and tracking-related enhancements within the site. Optimize site speed, technical efficiency, and conversion-related functionality to improve overall eCommerce performance. Work across marketing and IT teams to deliver practical solutions and gradually transition platform knowledge from external consultants to internal ownership.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
