Role Summary: Zyter is seeking a Senior Functional Consultant – Healthcare Workflow & Product to work directly with client business and operational teams to understand healthcare workflows, define detailed requirements and translate those requirements into Tru Care Next Gen and Symphony product capabilities, configurations and enhancements. This role sits at the intersection of business workflow and product implementation. The Functional Consultant will understand how users perform work today, define how workflows should operate in the future, identify business and market variations, and work closely with Zyter product and engineering teams to model those requirements effectively within the platform. This is not a traditional requirements-documentation role. We are looking for someone who can deeply understand a healthcare workflow and then help determine how the product should be configured or changed to support it.
Key Responsibilities: · Facilitate detailed working sessions with client business and operational stakeholders to understand current workflows, roles, business rules, pain points and system interactions. Document current-state and target-state workflows at sufficient detail to drive product configuration and implementation. Identify common/standard workflows and legitimate variations across markets, products, lines of business or operating units. Translate workflows into clear functional requirements, business rules, configurations, user stories and acceptance criteria. Map client requirements against existing Tru Care Next Gen and Symphony capabilities. Determine, in partnership with product and technology teams, whether requirements should be addressed through:o standard product functionality, configuration, workflow changes, integration, orproduct enhancement. Work closely with product managers, solution architects, engineers and implementation teams throughout design and delivery. Maintain traceability from business requirement through product configuration/development and testing. Identify gaps, exceptions and dependencies early and help drive them to resolution. Support workflow validation, configuration reviews, UAT and implementation readiness. Serve as a trusted day-to-day functional counterpart to client business stakeholders.
Qualifications: · 5–10+ years of experience in healthcare payer operations, healthcare technology implementation, functional consulting, business analysis or product implementation. Strong understanding of healthcare payer workflows, preferably including utilization management, prior authorization, care management and/or population health. Demonstrated ability to translate complex operational processes into software requirements and configurations. Strong workflow/process modeling skills. Experience implementing configurable enterprise software platforms strongly preferred. Familiarity with Agile product development, user stories, acceptance criteria and UAT.Sufficient technical fluency to work effectively with architects and engineering teams. Strong client-facing workshop facilitation, communication and problem-solving skills.
