Hiring: MDM Lead Engineer | Full-Time/FTE Location: New York, NY
Work Model: Hybrid — 3 days onsite per week
Onsite Requirement: Must be able to work onsite from Day 1Employment: Full-Time / FTEWe are looking for a highly hands-on MDM Lead Engineer to take technical ownership of enterprise Master Data Management initiatives. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with strong Semarchy xDM expertise who can go beyond platform configuration — someone who can analyze data, design MDM solutions, lead implementation, troubleshoot complex data-quality issues, guide engineering teams, and drive initiatives through production with minimal oversight.
🔑 Key Responsibilities:
- Own MDM initiatives from requirements and data analysis through implementation and production support
- Design and implement enterprise MDM solutions using Semarchy xDM
- Develop and optimize match/merge, survivorship, golden records, hierarchies, workflows, and data-quality processes
- Perform deep SQL, data profiling, and root-cause analysis
- Analyze source data, business processes, and downstream data consumption
- Review and guide data models, SQL, pipelines, architecture, implementation approaches, and code
- Provide hands-on technical leadership to onshore and offshore engineering teams
- Work closely with Product Owners, Data Stewards, architects, engineering teams, and senior technology leaders
- Translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions
- Help modernize and improve existing MDM implementations and integrations🛠️ Required Skills✅ 10+ years of relevant engineering/data experience✅ Strong hands-on Semarchy xDM experience✅ Deep Master Data Management expertise✅ Strong understanding of match/merge, survivorship, golden records, hierarchies, data quality, stewardship, and workflows✅ Strong SQL, data profiling, and data analysis skills✅ Enterprise MDM implementation experience✅ Strong data engineering and production pipeline experience✅ Experience with modern data technologies such as Snowflake, Azure, ADF, dbt, Fivetran, Python, APIs, or comparable technologies✅ Strong understanding of data modeling, governance, metadata, lineage, and stewardship✅ Strong technical leadership and stakeholder communication skills⭐ Strongly Preferred
- Financial Services / Banking experience
- Asset Management / Wealth Management / Capital Markets experience
- Client, Customer, Organization, Contact, Account, or Party master data experience
- Salesforce integration experience
- MDM modernization or re-architecture experience
- Experience integrating MDM with cloud data warehouses, operational systems, APIs, and analytical platforms
- Interest in AI-native approaches to data quality, automation, and engineering productivity
