About the Role:
Energy Dome is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to join our growing U.S. Finance team. This role will take ownership of key day-to-day accounting activities for our U.S. operations, with a focus on monthly close, financial reporting, project accounting, and process improvement. As our U.S. operations grow, this position will also help develop accounting processes supporting construction and future manufacturing activities. The ideal candidate is a strong general accountant who enjoys working in a growing environment, improving processes, and partnering with both finance and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage key areas of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Support accounting for U.S. projects, including project costs, construction in progress, fixed assets, and capitalization.
Review account activity and project costs, investigate variances, and ensure transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
Prepare financial reporting and analysis for U.S. entities and projects.
Support intercompany accounting and coordination with the global Finance team.
Partner with project management, procurement, engineering, and operations to improve the accuracy and visibility of project financial information.
Use NetSuite to support accounting, reporting, and project-related processes and identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
Help develop accounting processes and controls for future U.S. manufacturing activities, including inventory and cost accounting.
Support annual audits, tax compliance, and other accounting initiatives as needed.
Maintain clear accounting documentation and help strengthen processes and internal controls as the organization grows.
Qualifications:
RequiredBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.5+ years of progressive accounting or audit experience.2+ years of hands-on NetSuite experience or another major ERP system.2+ years of accounting experience in construction, manufacturing, or a combination of the two.
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and experience with monthly close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Experience with project-based, construction, manufacturing, or similar operational accounting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with finance and non-finance teams.
Comfortable working in a growing environment where processes are continuing to develop.
PreferredCPA or active CPA candidate.
Experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, construction, manufacturing, or another project-based industry.
Experience with project accounting, construction in progress, fixed assets, inventory, or cost accounting.
Experience working in a multi-entity or international organization.
Experience improving accounting processes, systems, or internal controls.
