About the role

Director of Talent & HR Operations Location: Chicago Land Area / Buffalo Grove, IL | Regular Travel Required We're looking for a strategic, hands-on HR leader to serve as the right hand to the VP of Talent and help shape the organization's talent strategy, HR operations, and people development programs. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is hungry, humble, smart, and entrepreneurial —a leader who can roll up their sleeves, challenge the status quo, and build what doesn't yet exist. What you'll own:Lead and coach a team of 2 HR Business Partners and 1 HR Coordinator Partner closely with leaders across the organization on workforce planning, employee relations, organizational effectiveness, and change management Drive exempt-level recruiting, including leadership, technical, and sales positions Build and expand talent development, succession planning, performance management, and leadership development programs Coach leaders and help strengthen organizational culture and employee engagement Leverage AI and emerging technology to improve HR processes and talent strategies Use HR analytics and workforce data to support business decisions Help ensure alignment across a global organization, including teams in the U.K. and Mexico What we're looking for:10+ years of progressive HR experience with 5+ years in leadership Strong experience across recruiting, talent management, talent development, employee relations, organizational development, and HR operations Proven success recruiting leaders, technical talent, and sales professionalsA track record of building talent development programs, processes, and tools Strong coaching and business partnership skills Demonstrated experience adopting and leveraging AI in HRBachelor's degree required; Master's/SHRM-SCP/SPHR a plus Global/multi-site experience strongly preferred Manufacturing / Med device industry experience is a plus Location & Travel: Ideally based in the Chicago area with easy access to the Buffalo Grove office. Regular travel to Neenah, WI and Newport News, VA will be required, with additional travel to Mexico at least annually and the U.K. as needed.
