Location: Oak Brook Terrace, IL — Hybrid Contract: 12 months

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field Start: ASAPPosition OverviewARTC is seeking an experienced SQL Developer / BI Developer to support its New Business and Distribution Operations teams. This role will focus primarily on SQL development, database querying, data extraction, reporting, and business intelligence. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on SQL development experience and the ability to work with large datasets, develop complex queries, support reporting requirements, and translate business needs into reliable data solutions. Experience with Power BI, Oracle, Azure, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities: Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, scripts, stored procedures, and data extracts. Query and analyze data from enterprise databases to support business and operational reporting. Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports using data extracted from various sources. Perform data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting to ensure reporting accuracy. Analyze existing database structures and determine the appropriate data sources for reporting requirements. Work with business users to understand data and reporting requirements. Translate business requirements into SQL queries, data solutions, and reporting specifications. Identify data quality issues and troubleshoot discrepancies across systems. Support data integration and reporting initiatives involving Oracle, Azure, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric. Develop data models and datasets used for operational reporting and business intelligence. Document queries, data sources, reporting logic, and technical solutions. Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and operational teams to deliver data-driven solutions.
Required Skills: 5–10 years of hands-on SQL development experience Advanced SQL query development Experience working with relational databases Strong database querying and data extraction skills Experience with Power BI and dashboard/report development Experience analyzing large datasets Ability to troubleshoot data and reporting issues Strong understanding of database structures, tables, relationships, and data models Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field Preferred TechnologiesSQL / SQL Server Oracle Power BIMicrosoft Azure Databricks Microsoft Fabric
