About the role

Robert Half's Marketing & Creative client is seeking two Website Content & Story Writers for an onsite contract opportunity in Amherst, MA. This is a full-time contract role (40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-4:30 PM) supporting the creation of compelling digital content. This engagement is expected to run through the end of the year. The Website Content & Story Writer will be responsible for researching, writing, editing, and publishing engaging web content that strengthens institutional brand awareness, supports enrollment efforts, and enhances audience engagement across digital channels.
Responsibilities: Create engaging website content including feature stories, articles, profiles, blogs, and news content. Research and develop compelling stories highlighting student, faculty, alumni, and community achievements. Conduct interviews and gather information to support content development. Write content that supports brand awareness, audience engagement, and recruitment initiatives. Update and maintain website content to ensure accuracy and relevance. Edit and proofread content to align with brand and editorial standards. Collaborate with writers, editors, and stakeholders on content projects and campaigns. Upload and publish content within Drupal or similar content management systems. Optimize content for web audiences, readability, and user experience. Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Contribute to content planning and editorial initiatives across the organization.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, English, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.3+ years of experience in content writing, editorial, journalism, digital communications, content marketing, or a related discipline. Proven experience conducting interviews and developing content for articles, profiles, blogs, or feature stories. Strong storytelling, writing, and editorial skills with the ability to translate complex topics into engaging content. Experience creating content for websites, digital publications, blogs, and online audiences. Familiarity with Drupal or similar content management systems. Strong editing, proofreading, and quality assurance skills.
