Maryland Licensed Marketing Counsel

Serving as the key legal advisor to the Marketing, Brand, and Creative teams, the remote Vice President, Marketing & Advertising Counsel will review marketing materials for compliance with federal laws, negotiate agreements related to advertising and digital marketing, and provide strategic legal counsel to support innovative marketing initiatives. Key responsibilities Review marketing collateral to ensure compliance with FTC, FDA, and state laws while advising on product claims and regulatory requirements Negotiate and provide legal support for agency, production, and influencer agreements, as well as trademark licensing Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide practical legal advice on marketing strategies and campaigns Required qualifications JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one US jurisdiction 12+ years of marketing, advertising, and brand legal experience, particularly in healthcare or consumer brands Experience in transactional and advisory roles at a top-tier law firm, focusing on advertising and trademark licensing Deep expertise in FTC advertising law and compliance with intellectual property laws Proven track record of negotiating talent and agency agreements at scale
