About the role
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a safe driving record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in outdoor construction environments (heat, cold, dust, etc.)Must be willing to travel up to 100% with paving crews across the western U.S.Must be available to work all shifts including days, nights, weekends, and overtime as required
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to follow instructions
- Interest in learning mechanical skills and construction equipment repair
- Must have a REAL ID or the ability to obtain a REAL ID before start date
- ExperienceNo prior mechanic experience required - training will be provided
- Basic knowledge of tools, equipment, and general mechanical work is preferred
- Previous experience in construction, farming, automotive, or shop work is helpful but not required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, changing environment

- Advance into an Apprentice Mechanic role, and eventually into a Heavy Equipment Mechanic position
