About Portfolio Summits Portfolio Summits, a division of IC Summits, produces investment management conferences that bring together professionals across the RIA, institutional investment, private markets, and broader asset management communities. We are a small, collaborative team focused on creating high-quality events through strong content, targeted audiences, and meaningful industry relationships.
The Role: We are seeking an engaging, ambitious, and relationship-driven professional to lead audience development for our events, with a primary focus on our RIA and wealth management series. This role is responsible for building relationships with industry professionals, recruiting qualified attendees, and contributing to event programming. While email outreach is part of the process, success in this position will come primarily through phone calls, meetings, networking, and developing long-term relationships with our audience.
Responsibilities: Own audience development and attendee recruitment for assigned events Build and maintain relationships with RIAs, financial advisors, wealth management professionals, and other industry leaders Recruit attendees through phone outreach, meetings, referrals, networking, and targeted communication Manage a pipeline of prospective and confirmed attendees and work toward event attendance goals Develop an understanding of our audience's priorities, challenges, and interests Contribute to event programming by identifying relevant topics, speakers, and industry trends Represent Portfolio Summits at company events, meetings, and industry networking opportunities Collaborate with sales, marketing, operations, and leadership to support successful events
Qualifications: Several years of professional experience in sales, business development, relationship management, events, financial services, or another relationship-focused role Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills Confidence and comfort with frequent phone outreach, meetings, and networking Goal-oriented, ambitious, and self-motivated Strong organization and follow-through Ability to build credibility with senior professionals Collaborative, proactive, and willing to contribute where needed in a small-team environment Financial services or wealth management experience is a plus, but not required Compensation & Benefits$60,000–$65,000 base salary; $70,000–$75,000 OTEMedical, dental, and vision insurance 20 days PTOHalf-day Summer Fridays Hybrid schedule with 2–3 days per week in our Midtown Manhattan office Flexible remote work Some event travel required
